You will be developing a great looking resume based on an inspiration design.
First collect the information you want to put on your resume. Think of any extracurricular, special certifications or skills (like Photoshop), volunteer work, or odd jobs (or real jobs) you have had in the past. Since you are new to the world of work you will need to think about non-work skills that will help in the types of jobs you are applying for.
Once you have your information you need to find an inspiration resume design to follow. Choose one that works for the type of information that you have. You will be including this inspiration design on your website next to your completed resume.
Create an 8.5" X 11" file with 300 pixels per square inch in Photoshop.
Working in layers, and using the appropriate fonts, rulers, etc. create your resume.
When it is complete save it as a PDF and e-mail it to me and on your website in the Communication Design Unit with the title 'Resume' show your inspiration design. Also include an artist statement in which you reflect on the rules of typography you followed (explain how).
