All eight principles: proportion, balance (symmetry), rhythm/pattern, emphasis(focal point), variety, contrast, unity, movement

Looking at Art
Explain the five steps involved in ‘looking at art’
Describe: List what you see in the artwork
Analyze: Where are things placed?
Interpret: What do you think the artwork is about?
Information: What do you know about the artwork? (Death of Marat, 1793, French Revolution, etc)
Judgement: Is the artwork good (quality) and does it appeal to your personal aesthetic?
Be prepared to go through these steps with an unseen image.
